EGGS - A WONDER INGREDIENT FOR KITCHEN COSMETICS


If eggs are one of the main constructive and supportive ingredients in baking, then imagine what it can do for your skin, as they are rich in vitamins, minerals and essential proteins that strengthen and support the skin.

Eggs used in a facial masks help narrow the skin pores, leaving the skin tightened and invigorated.
People who suffer from oily skin can use eggs in various cosmetic recipes to fight black head and acne.
Lysozyme is a natural preservative enzyme found in egg whites, it can also aid in the preservation of our skin.  Lysozymes main function is to digest bacterial cell walls.
The natural proteins in eggs works wonders for stressed hair,  as it strengthens and nourishes the hair leaving it  less proned to split ends.

Facial Firming mask
2 egg yolks
4 drops of Frankincense (optional)
2 tbsp of thick cream
Whip cream until thick. Then stir in essential oil and egg yolks. Apply to the face in a thick even layer. Leave for 20-25 minutes then rinse off.


Egg And Avocado Moisturising Mask
Flesh of one avocado
1 egg yolk
1tsp light olive oil
4 drops of Sandalwood essential oil (optional)
1 tsp of witch hazel or rose water
The egg and avocado replenish lost moisture from the skin and Witch Hazel / Rose Water is a great skin toner.
Mash the flesh of one avocado into the whisked egg yolk. Add the sandalwood essential oil, Witch Hazel/Rose Water, and olive oil and mix all together. Apply thick even layer to face. Let it rest there for about 20 – 25 minutes then rinse off.


Egg, Oatmeal And Honey Mask (for oily skin)
1 egg white
2 tbsp of oatmeal
2 tbsp of runny honey
4 drops of Lavender essential oil (optional)
Whisk the egg whit until stiff. Mix together the oatmeal, runny honey and Lavender essential oil then add tot he egg white. Let it rest on the skin for 20-25 minutes then rest off in warm water.


Hair Conditioner
1 tsp of light olive oil
1 tsp baby oil
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp of mayonnaise
1 cup of water
Beat the egg yolk until fluffy. Mix baby oil, light olive oil, and mayonnaise together then add to the egg yolk and beat mixture again. Then add 1 cup of mildly warm water  and beat into the mixture again. Massage into the scalp then let it rest for five minutes before washing off.
